COMPRESSION THERAPY BENEFITS
-
NormaTec boots can help speed up the recovery process after intense physical activity by reducing muscle soreness, inflammation, and muscle damage and fatigue.
-
The dynamic compression created by NormaTec boots can help increase blood flow and lymphatic drainage, which can improve circulation and reduce swelling. This also helps reduce lactic acid build up.
-
Using NormaTec boots regularly can help prevent injuries by reducing muscle fatigue, improving flexibility, and promoting proper muscle activation.
-
Rapidly enhances acute range-of-motion with less discomfort and time.
-
DOMS (delayed onset muscle soreness)
“A 30-minute treatment of Normatec Pulse compression increases blood flow in the lower extremity, possibly making Pulse compression a viable option in the management of exercise-induced muscle damage (DOMS).” - Journal of Athletic Training 2016
FAQ
-
Compression feels like a rhythmic squeeze-and-release that helps flush out fatigue and increase circulation. Think of it as a massage alternative — steady, calming, and surprisingly restorative. You’ll sit back, relax, and let the system do the work.
-
Just yourself. Water is helpful, but not required. Bring a book, your laptop, or a friend to hang out with — or bring nothing at all and just unwind.
-
Wear something soft and comfortable — leggings, joggers, or shorts all work great. Socks are comfortable too. Avoid anything with zippers or sharp seams inside the sleeves.
-
You cannot do them at the same time — the sleeves overlap, and it wouldn’t be very comfortable. But you’re welcome to switch between them depending on what your body needs that day.
-
We do our best to accommodate walk-ins when we have availability. Booking ahead is the safest bet, but if you’re nearby, come on in — we’ll try to get you squeezed in.
